WATCH OUT FOR SCAMMERS
We all enjoy videos featuring hot fighters, some unscrupulous “talent “ can ruin your wrestling video experience. They ask you for money to do a video for you, then they either make what THEY want, or just take the money and run.
WHERE DO SCAMMERS RESIDE?
Some areas of the world produce more scammers than others. They make the honest people look bad. For that purpose we will not mention the geographic location. It’s unfair to generalize everyone because of the actions of a few.
Suffice it to say that these scammers are usually located in an area that is economically challenged, and live in scarcity. We believe that people would not normally do this if they were making enough money to survive.
It is an international crime to steal money from people. But scammers do it anyway.
USE THE CUSTOM REQUESTS SECTION OF THIS SITE
To protect everyone, you should be going through Watchfighters custom request section; to its credit and benefit, they created that section to protect people from scammers. It may be a few extra steps but the system protects both the client and the fighters and you will receive the video you want.
(Side bar: Low Ballers who want talent to work basically for free, what’s wrong with you? )
I received a message today, in fact, that one of my “talent” scammed him, and as a result, the person in question was fired and is no longer working for our company.
Muscle Body Battles has a zero tolerance policy for scammers.
HOW SCAMMERS WORK
One of the way that scammers work is to prey upon your emotions. The scammer who no longer works for the company approached me and told us that his father was hurt in an accident, and that the scammer was the only person visiting him . When I asked him to produce some proof that his father was in the hospital, he backed way off.
NOT EVERYONE IS A SCAMMER.
And then there was the true story of one fighter’s brother, who was attacked and put in the hospital; the information was verified, so you have to really be careful about overgeneralizing. Not every person who makes custom videos is a self-seeking, dishonest, dirty, low down scammer.
ALWAYS KEEP RECORDS OF YOUR COMMUNICATION AND TRANSACTIONS
Bottom Line: Don’t make back door deals. Always screenshot conversations just in case your deal goes sideways, just in case you have to report them to the authorities.
Always get a model release form prior to filming or they will try and extort something out of you on the backend. It usually doesn’t turn out well.
Do NOT engage in any financial transaction or filming until you receive a model release form. Using anyone’s likeness without their written consent is a violation of international law.
REPORTING CYBERCRIMES
Reporting cybercrimes can be complicated, since scammers can delete profiles and create new ones, and they are counting on you to just cut their losses and move on.
