Needed to provided a bit of a life update. A week ago, a dear friend (closer than a family member) of mine (and my partner) had a stroke at the age of 85. He doesn't have any family members who can be a care provider (children passed, no grandkids, sibling and aunt in their 90s). I flew over to take care of him and help him move into a care home. He's still in the hospital but should get discharged. I'll be with him for another week, return home to my husband. Next month, I'll fly back to my friend and help him sort through his possessions, etc. Long story short, It will be a bit of time between posts. I have some content squared away but for the most part things will slow down. Also my response times to messages will be a bit longer than I normally like.

2023-09-21 14:55You’re a good and rare friend. He’s blessed to have you in his life. All the best as you care for him. I can relate as I had a similar situation for an elderly friend of mine when he took ill a couple of years ago, and I needed to get him settled into assisted living and manage his affairs until he passed early last year.
